Can Feixes, Blanc Tradició 2021

The historic Can Feixes estate dates its winemaking roots back to the 1500s. Nestled in an incomparable setting on the slopes of the mountains north of the Upper Penedès wine region of Barcelona. It forms an ecological environment where the different crops and the varied vegetation interact completely in a perfect symbiosis between the cultivated and wild, thus reflecting the best expression of biodiversity in agriculture. Blanc Tradició 2021 is a superb white which captures the essence of Penedès. Made from a blend of 80% Xarel-lo and 20% Malvasia, it was aged for 18-months on lees in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling. Lots of minerality and herbs are on the nose which moves to a more fruit-driven palate with flavours of apple, pear and some passion fruit. Sapid, citrussy and extremely well-balanced, it's a wine which keeps on giving and pairs equally well with shellfish as it does as an aperitif.
